The Issues:
As a legislator, I will have four main priorities –
Number one – I will work to keep our schools and our communities safe. Few things are as important to me as ensuring that we can all feel safe and secure from both violent and petty crime and that we can send our kids to school without worry. Public safety will be one of my top priorities.
Number two – It’s not enough to make sure our kids are protected at school, we also have to make sure that enough funds are available to keep our education system strong and relevant.
Number three – There are too many people who do not have access to high quality, affordable healthcare. In the richest country in the world, this is a tragedy that I will work doggedly to fix.
Number four - So many Minnesotans are feeling the economic pinch, especially with the recent downturn. Combine that with our many environmental problems and the time is ripe for creating a new jobs in the so-called “green” sector. In the Statehouse, I will do my best to generate policies to see that these types of jobs grow.
With your endorsement, we can work together to make these priorities a reality for 29A. I have a determined spirit, a supportive family and a wealth of experience to draw on to win against Randy Demmer, or any Republican they put against me! Thank you for your time and your consideration.
